Berlin, 23 October 2017. Retresco has developed a Facebook Messenger Chatbot to help users navigate the archive of HORIZONT magazine.
There are over 150,000 articles and documents in the database of HORIZONT, one of Germany’s main magazines for marketing, advertising and media. From now on, a chatbot technology built by Retresco makes finding the right content easier.
After users have visited the news archive of HORIZONT for a certain period of time, they have the option of continuing their search inside the Facebook Messenger App. The Retresco Chatbot holds a natural conversation with the reader and helps to find articles from specific subtopics. Optionally, the bot can also compile a PDF summary of all relevant articles in a selected category.
Alexander Siebert, co-founder of Retresco: ”We are very happy about our successful partnership with HORIZONT and will continue to explore new ways for users to interact with digital content.“
Changing media landscape
The annual Reuters Institute Digital News Report reveals the most important trends in global news consumption. This year´s study shows that news are increasingly shared and read via chat apps such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
